Fencing Equipment

GRAFA’s
Equipment Rules

  • All necessary fencing equipment is provided for students taking GRAFA’s beginner classes or school group classes conducted at the GRAFA premises.

  • When students are promoted to GRAFA’s intermediate classes, the fencers must purchase their equipment.

  • Given the variety of fencing equipment available (online, used, etc.), parents must refrain from making any purchases until they receive specific guidance from GRAFA's coaches on the most suitable options for each fencer.

  • External Online Purchases: Our policy is not to allow ANY fencing equipment to be used at GRAFA if purchased on eBay, Amazon, etc.

  • Used Equipment: Our policy permits the use of used equipment, but only after it has been thoroughly inspected and approved by GRAFA coaches. This ensures the safety and quality of the equipment used.

  • Purchasing via GRAFA: GRAFA’s coaches and management will advise the parents of the equipment to be purchased, and whether it's currently available directly from GRAFA’s on-site pro shop, located on GRAFA’s premises. Email us to place your order.

  • Prebuilt Weapons: GRAFA offers prebuilt foil and epee fencing equipment packages designed for the different levels of competition, such as training, regional, national, and international.

  • Safety + Comfort: Each fencer should be adequately protected, and the uniform should allow freedom of movement so that the fencer can properly perform the necessary skills.
